Is this actually sized for Microsoft Teams?

It's the 128×128 file — the size independent Teams guides have converged on, not a number Microsoft itself publishes. Checked directly against Microsoft's own upload guidance: it lists accepted formats and a 256K file-size cap, no exact pixel dimension. So we're upfront that 128×128 is a de facto convention, the same one Slack and Discord already share, not an official Microsoft spec. The file-size part is checked, not assumed: every export we tested landed between 24KB and 40KB, well inside Teams' 256KB cap.

Do I need admin permission to upload this to my Team?

That depends on your organisation's own settings — Microsoft's admin controls let whoever manages your tenant turn custom emoji on or off, and restrict who's allowed to create one. Either way, what you get here is just the file: a transparent PNG, already square, ready to hand to whoever does have permission.

Can I use a photo of an actual coworker?

Yes — it's the route to a real likeness rather than a lookalike mascot. Attach a few evenly lit, front-facing photos and the set is built to look like that person, redrawn in whichever style you pick.

Can this make a logo or brand mark instead?

No — this draws a character, a mascot or a person, not a logo. It's built for the reactions a Team drops into a channel, not for brand assets. If you need the latter, this isn't the right tool.

Can this make Teams stickers too?

Teams' built-in sticker picker is a separate, pre-made library — not something a third party can add to today, as far as Microsoft's own documentation describes. What this makes is a custom emoji: the same bring-your-own-image upload Teams' custom-emoji feature actually supports. If what you pictured was a bigger reaction image rather than a small inline one, the same square PNG works fine pasted straight into a message too.

How is this different from Teams' own built-in emoji and GIF picker?

Teams already ships a large built-in library, and this doesn't add to it. It makes a custom emoji — a picture of your own mascot or an actual coworker, uploaded once by whoever has permission, then available to your whole Team from then on, not just to you.

What about animated emoji?

Not yet. Every emoji here comes back as a still, transparent PNG, which is what most Teams uploads actually are. Animated output is on our list, just not live today.

Do you have something like this for Slack?

Yes — a separate page, built specifically for Slack's own vocabulary and its stricter 128KB cap, rather than reusing this one with the platform name swapped. If your coworkers are actually on Slack, use that version instead.

Nobody's built a Teams version of this yet

Search around and most of what turns up explains how Microsoft's own upload flow works — the file formats, the size cap, where the admin toggle lives for whoever manages your tenant. None of it draws the character for you.

This one draws the character — a mascot, or an actual coworker, from a description or a photo — in whichever look you pick. Nothing here is filled in from a library or recoloured from a template: every reaction in the set is the same one character you described.
