What do I actually get when it's done?

A transparent PNG per reaction, already cut out, at every size Twitch and Discord ask for: 112, 56 and 28 pixels for Twitch, 128 for Discord. Download one at a time or grab the whole set as a zip. No watermark, ever.

Can I make Discord emoji here too, or is this Twitch-only?

Both, from the same generation. Describe your character once and the set that comes back already includes Discord's 128px size alongside Twitch's three — you don't make two separate sets.

Do I need to be a Twitch Affiliate to use this?

No. Affiliate status decides whether Twitch will let you upload a set as subscriber emotes, not whether you can make one. Plenty of channels build their set here first and run it through 7TV, BetterTTV or FrankerFaceZ — none of which need any status at all — then move it to subscriber slots once Affiliate unlocks them.

Can I use a photo of myself?

Yes — it's the only route to a real likeness rather than a lookalike. Attach a few evenly lit, front-facing photos and the set is built to look like the actual person, redrawn in whichever style you pick.

Can I use a character from a game, anime or show?

No. That's still someone else's character however it was drawn, and it's the single most common reason a finished emote gets rejected at upload. Take the look of the genre instead of the property — chat can't tell the difference, and nobody owns an aesthetic.

Can I get an animated emote?

Not yet. Today's sets are static, high-detail PNGs — the same format Twitch's static emote slots and Discord's static emoji both expect. Worth saying plainly rather than letting the sizes speak for themselves.
